To install the rack mounting bracket:

1. Remove the two side screws closest to the front from each side of your AMX switch.

2. Line up the holes in the brackets with the holes on the sides of the AMX switch.

3. Using the screws supplied with the rack mounting bracket, thread one through each of the

holes in the sides of the rack mount brackets and into the AMX switch. Tighten them securely.

4. Install the AMX switch into your rack using the approved method of your rack manufacturer.

To install a new single AMX switch:

1. Plug the supplied power cord into the back of the AMX switch and then into an appropriate

power source.

2. Connect a terminal or PC running terminal emulation software (such as HyperTerminal

) to

the terminal port of the AMX switch using the supplied null modem cable. The terminal should

be set to 9600 baud, 8 bits, 1 stop bit, no parity and no flow control.
